Alex Campbell

Alex Campbell is the founder of Camp Campbell and has over a decade of experience as a professional basketball player and coach.

Coaching Career: Alex currently serves as Lead Assistant Coach and Assistant General Manager of the Winnipeg Sea Bears. In his first year in this role, he helped lead the team to their first ever Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) Championship in 2026. Alex also serves as the full-time Lead Assistant Coach for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies men’s basketball team.

Playing Career: Alex was part of the CEBL from its inaugural season in 2019, helping lead the Saskatchewan Rattlers to the league’s first championship and earning the first ever CEBL Finals MVP award. In 2024, he joined the Winnipeg Sea Bears and became the first Canadian player to reach 1,000 career CEBL points. He reached the milestone on a buzzer-beating shot in his first home game at Canada Life Centre. Alex ranks second all-time in CEBL history with 216 three-pointers made.

During his professional career, he played internationally in Spain, Finland, France, China and Taiwan and served as captain for both the Vancouver Bandits and Saskatchewan Rattlers. With the Bandits, he was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year and MVP.

Alex brings a player’s mentality to his approach to coaching and player development, drawing on his experience competing and coaching at the professional level.
